Joleen: I’ve been around… busy with multiple projects, some of which you’ll hear about really soon!
Avid Reader: So you just got busy and forgot us? You had no time for us anymore? Not impressed Jo…
Joleen: Absolutely not! If I’m honest; I’ve also been a bit reticent to write, because I’ve not been certain I was comfortable with the direction my blog was taking…
Avid Reader: What do you mean my by that? We like your blog… that’s why we follow it. This just sounds like an excuse. :/
Joleen: Ummm… I don’t quite know how to respond to that. Of course, I appreciate the support you’ve given me, I love that you like my blog… but I’m not sure that I like it anymore. 🙁
Avid Reader: So you’re calling it quits?
Joleen: Nooooo…. but I feel like a change of direction is in order. I’ve been trying to figure out how to announce that without disappointing anyone.
Avid Reader: Hmmm. This sounds like you’re looking to completely transform Sunshine Diary. What have you got up your sleeve?
Joleen: Well, I want to be able to write about whatever I’m interested in, but it seems my posts have mostly been critical views of serious issues. I’m not all social commentary… I’m a normal woman and I like lots of things!
Avid Reader: Hey, you do know that it’s YOUR blog right? You don’t need our permission to lighten things up or vary your topics…
Joleen: 🙂 You are so right… Somewhere along these past weeks of reflection, I guess I’ve remembered why I named this blog Sunshine DIARY. If this is my diary, there are no rules!
Avid Reader: Pretty much. But if you start to write soppy, girly posts about hair and makeup and fashion and luuurrrvee… I’m unsubscribing.
Joleen: Ah. Okay. But I feel I have so much to offer… There’s nothing wrong with mixing it up! Plus, if you just click on the ‘Categories’ tab at the top of the page, you can filter out all the ‘girly’ posts and just read the ‘rants’ or the ‘frugal living’ ones if that’s what you’re into… but you never know, you might enjoy one of my posts about ‘luuurrveeee’ more than you expect!
Avid Reader: *gagging noises*
Joleen: LOL Alright, but if you go now, you’ll miss my surprise announcement… You wouldn’t want to do that, would you?
Avid Reader: I think I’ll take my chances…
Joleen: Okay, okay… I won’t hate you if you leave. But I’ll be here. I’m not going anywhere!
